Free Music Making Programs???

I seriously am stuck, the trial i had for ableton live has expired and i dont have anyway to save my music what other programs are out there that are free that will let me create music so i can continue submitting to newgrounds , and not just that its the fact i cant save my songs anymore that really bugs me... if anyone knows of some free beat/ music making programs and is willing to share what they are, that would be much appreciated XDD
